Here are some photos in honor of our friends who are no longer with us.
- Rico–The doctors and staff at RVC are very saddened to report a great loss to our community. Rico, the retired Pleasant Prairie K9 officer passed away on May 3rd, 2014 after losing his fight with cancer. Before his retirement from the PPD he was responsible for search and rescue, tracking and capture of several fugitives. Everyone at RVC looked forward to seeing Rico at his yearly visits and will miss him very much.
- Keely- In March 2014 we had to say goodbye to our dear friend Keely. She was owned by the family of one of our Vet assistants Chelsea, and was a patient at RVC since we opened in 2004. In her younger years, Keely was an avid pheasant hunter with a lot of energy. After retiring from hunting, Keely enjoyed spending her time at home relaxing with her family. Her favorite toys were anything with a squeaker, and she had a love for string cheese snacks. The whole RVC family will always remember her. Thank you to her family for giving her such a loving home for so many years.
- Chico – Chico was a dear friend who served this community as a loyal member of the K.P.D. He was always welcomed at our practice, even attending the ground breaking celebration of our clinic. Service canines, like Chico, show their outstanding bravery, strength and determination to perform their duties at maximum capacity. Chico also was a crowd favorite and was a true ambassador in our community. The intense loyalty Chico showed to his partner Pablo was a true testament of the human-animal bond. You will be missed our friend.
